"Promotes, organizes and manages events, reviews, exhibitions, competitions, awards, concerts, shows, parties, educational courses, study seminars, conferences, travels, demonstrations and other events useful for the cultural and artistic growth of the members, for the promotion and the dissemination of art and culture, as well as the promotion of associative activities; intervene on public institutions so that they promote and support the creation of structures and spaces for intervention suitable for the development of social commitment. Molise, one of the regions of Italy, inhabited in ancient times by the indomitable population of the Samnites, defeated by the Romans only after three wars, for many centuries was known only as Samnium Pentrum. This name remained until descendants of the Vikings from Normandy (The Normans) in particular from the town Moulins la Marche, known as de Moulins, gave the name Molise to the area, a name clearly derived from their surname.
In Molise there are many remains of castles ,towers and the names of some places of Viking / Norman origin; Sepino is one of the old town of Viking/Norman origin.
We have also gastronomic remains: for instance in our region the Easter cake called "carosello o pigna" is similar to a cake that is made in the town of Moulin la Marche.
In the past years a group of local historians has carried out researches with rigorous scientific methodology on the Viking / Norman origins of our region. The detailed results are available , of course , for those interested.
