Ukranenland

UKRANENLAND
Ukranenland is an archeological village-museum in Torgelow, north-east Germany. The name comes from an old Slavic tribe, the Ukri. The Slavic settlement from the 9th to 10th century was reconstructed with its bricks, planks and houses according to archaeological findings in full scale.

Look over the shoulders at the work of historical craftsmen such as the bronze caster, pottery maker or blacksmith, or try these old crafts on yourself.

Special events at Ukranenland are the historic market days which attract thousands of visitors from near and far, from spring to autumn. You will feel like you are transported a 1000 years back in time when the Svarog, the first reconstructed German Slavic ship, sails into Ukranenland, or when steaming hot bread is pulled out of the clay oven.
